Terms

These terms apply to anyone, human or AI agent, who uses Lucas at lucasnode.app or api.lucasnode.app. By sending a paid request, you agree to them.

The service

Lucas is an AI researcher that answers research questions and finds companies matching a description, using public web sources. Each request is a one-time purchase. There is no account, subscription or ongoing commitment.

Payment

  • Prices are listed on the pricing page and stated in each 402 response before you pay.
  • Payment is made in USDC on Base through the x402 protocol.
  • Payment settles only after a successful response. Invalid requests and research that could not be completed are not charged.
  • Because payments are blockchain transactions, a settled payment cannot be reversed by Lucas. If you believe you were charged in error, email hello@lucasnode.app with the transaction hash.

Accuracy

Results are produced by AI from public sources. Lucas cites a source for every claim and marks anything it could not confirm as unverified, but results can still be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Figures such as private company revenue are third-party estimates. Verify important facts before relying on them. Results are not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

Acceptable use

  • Lucas researches companies and public topics only.
  • Requests for personal contact details or private information about individuals are rejected, and you agree not to try to get around this.
  • Do not use Lucas for anything unlawful, or to harass, defraud or harm anyone.
  • Do not attempt to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.

Data

Lucas stores each request and its result to run and improve the service and to keep records of sales. Payments are public blockchain transactions. Do not include personal or confidential information in your requests. Lucas does not sell this data.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It may change, pause or stop at any time. Prices may change, but you will always see the current price before paying. To the extent allowed by law, liability for any request is limited to the amount you paid for it.
